I'm a musician who works across a number of sectors including performance, research and education. I currently teach at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music for the Young Con programme and examine in piano and theory for the AMEB. I also compose, arrange, and record my own music. I play piano, harpsichord and pipe organ, and have collaborated with soloists, choirs, dancers and instrumental ensembles. My research has been in education, musicology, Australian music, church music, and the music industry. I have published articles and presented at national and international conferences. I have taught in pre-school, school, university and studio settings. I have also examined, adjudicated, and run workshops. I have edited musical scores, books, and my fingers have even made an appearance in a film. I like to learn new ways of thinking and so am always studying. My aim is to be a musician first which can then inform all my other areas of interest.
